THE two brothers, Azubuike Nwachukwu and ThankGod Nwachukwu had meticulously planned the robberies and successfully carried them out.

But when it came to sharing the N1million they had stolen, all filial love vanished.

A fight ensued as to who gets what and in the end, at the end of which one stabbed the other.

That was the kernel of the account given by Lagos State Police spokesman, Mr. Joseph Jaiyeoba as he confirmed the arrest of the two brothers who agreed to become robbers but could not agree as to that gets the lion’s share.

According to Jaiyeoba, “ The two of the suspects, Azubuike Nwachukwu and ThankGod Nwachukwu who are blood brothers had engaged in a brawl along Badagry Expressway immediately after sharing the N1million being money stolen from innocent citizens.

“ThankGod had protested that he was given only N150,000 while Azubuike got the sum of N350, 000 and their gang leader, one Pascal Onyebuchi, a native doctor reportedly pocketed N500, 000.”

The Police spokesman said it was during the brawl that, police arrived, but that already, Azubuike had stabbed his brother to death.

They were arrested by policemen attached to Ilemba Hausa Police Division and thereafter taken to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba.

Jaiyeoba said both the native doctor and Azubuike, who killed his brother would face the full wrath of the law.
